CPSEL Standard 1

Overarching Goal: Facilitate the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by the school community.

Action Steps: Facilitate the development of a new vision and mission statement with all stakeholders. Systemic classroom visits-actionable feedback.

Evidence: New Vision and Mission, Student AssembliesREED PD and Integration Plan

Results of Action Step Impact: Developed a new a school vision and mission.  Stakeholders are able to state the vision and mission and the meaning to the school’s community.


CPSEL Standard 2

Overarching Goal: Advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.

Action Steps: Ongoing meetings with the special education department and co-teachers (general education).  Increase the inclusion of restorative practices in the classroom and with the support staff.  Increase the participation of the girl’s group and begin the student male success group.

Results of Action Steps Impact: Increase in positive school-pride culture and decrease in student behavior classroom referrals.  Implementation of school-wide Restorative Justice.


CPSEL Standard 3

Overarching Goal: Ensuring management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.

Action Steps: Develop and write the Safe School Plan.  School-wide student activities focused on health and safety.  Continue to meet with the plant manager to monitor school needs.  De-clutter classrooms and shared school spaces.

SWPBIS AgendaEvidence: Safe School Plan, Student Booth, and Email Communications.

Results of Action Steps Impact: Stakeholders are familiar with emergency procedures. School grounds are safe and create a safe learning environment.


CPSEL Standard 4

Overarching Goal: Collaborating with families and community members, responding to diverse community interest and needs, and mobilizing community resources.

Action Steps: Special education meetings with parents/guardians. Present at coffee with the principal at neighboring middle/elementary schools.  facilitate and debrief school wellness meetings with school stadtholders and partners.

Curen PriceEvidence: Parent Meetings, 100-year celebration, Saturday Community Workshops and Parent Presentations.

Results of Action Step Impact: increased the parent participation.  Establish a relationship with middle and elementary schools.  An increase of student participation to the school’s clinic.

 


CPSEL Standard 5

Overarching Goal: Modeling a personal code of ethics and developing professional leadership capacity.

PDAction StepsProvide professional development and monitor District policies and mandates.

 Evidence: Agendas, Notes and emails.

Results of Action Step Impact: Student and staff increased their awareness of District policies and mandates.  Increased leadership capacity within the staff.


CPSEL Standard 6

Overarching Goal: Understanding, responding, and influencing the larger political, social, economic, legal & cultural contexts (external context & policy)

Action Steps: Meet with stakeholders on opportunities to improve instructional program.  Monthly School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support (SWPBIS) meetings.

Results of Action Steps Impact: Staff has decreased the number of referrals and is seeking to understand students instead of punishing them with a path to making the child whole.
